“Since I was a kid, I’ve been into all the heavy metal and glam bands from the 80s. My favorite band as a kid was Twisted Sister so it’s always been there, but I never really pursued it. Back in October for Halloween, I went drag and did my makeup. Everybody said I looked really good, and then I ended up getting invited to other parties, and at one, the ladies started breaking it down for me. I was a landscaper and former Marine and wanted to do something sexier, so I decided to look up NYC makeup schools. I came for a campus visit and they were doing their photo shoot and there’s models, photographers, and makeup everywhere–just a mess like rock’n’roll. The one thing I would say to others is if I can do it so can you.” – Nick
