Our Master Makeup Artistry Program is not only filled with extensive hands-on training and a comprehensive curriculum but includes photoshoots as well — a much-needed experience all makeup artists need when breaking into the industry.
The photoshoots included in our master makeup class in New York City involve training from our experienced instructors and the opportunity to work with professional models and photographers on set. Before the day of the shoot, your instructors will guide you through creating your very own mood board and face charts to ensure the shoot captures the depth and versatility of your skills. On the day of the photoshoot, you’ll be able to experience the demands of a professional set and use NYC as a backdrop (from a rooftop location and on street level). At the end of the program, you not only walk away with training but also with many pictures to build an amazing portfolio and post on your website and Instagram.
As a leading international school of makeup, we believe that artists can tap into their creativity by breaking out of their comfort zones and pushing boundaries. We’ve included a module in our master program focused on Fashion & Creative Makeup to help students expand their skills beyond bridal and beauty makeup. After all, it’s the dream of many makeup artists to showcase their work in dramatic photoshoots and high-end fashion shows.
After learning about creative makeup from our published and experienced instructors, you will have the opportunity to build a strong portfolio during a professional photoshoot. This in-depth experience will allow you to gain the necessary skills to attract high-end clientele.
Whether you’re new to makeup artistry or have been practicing for some time, you likely know that brides are some of the most important clients to MUAs. These brides want experienced makeup artists who can give them a youthful glow on one of the biggest days of their lives, and you have to prove that you’re that artist.
Because they will evaluate your ability to help them achieve their dream wedding day look by looking through your portfolio and roster of clients, we have included Bridal Makeup Master Classes into our curriculum. By the end of the program, we are confident you will have exemplary work that will represent your capabilities well to potential clients.
The beauty industry may be ever-evolving with trends coming and going, but one facet of the industry that is not going anywhere any time soon is glamour makeup. Bright lipstick shades and colorful smokey eyes can be paired with a variety of outfits for a multitude of looks. Clients love the bold statements glamour makeup makes and expect their makeup artists to be well-versed in the nuances of this style of makeup.
Because we understand the importance of Glamour Makeup, we have included a module on this topic in our master program. Through this course, you’ll develop an understanding of color and eye makeup application techniques. When you can include glamour makeup in your portfolio, you draw in clients from various age groups and effectively demonstrate your versatility.
